Aluminum composite panel is one of my favorite substrates to use for signs. It consists of PVC plastic sandwiched between 2 pieces of aluminum. Â Does not hold water in the center like other sign panels do. Really does not expand and contract. It is a great product for extreme temperatures we have in Minnesota. This sign panel is most commonly purchased as a 3mm panel. It is also available in a 6mm, however. 3mm is great for against buildings, used on fences or for smaller real estate signs. You would need thicker for stand alone signs. Both thicknesses can be routed into shapes.
As you can see we can print vinyl, laminate and mount to the sign panel for a colorful sign. This can be done 1 or 2 sided.
This sign above is a great example for longevity of this product. When we moved into our building in Rogers in 2016 this sign was a MDO sign panel. We put this aluminum composite panel sign over the top advertising for RPM Graphics and our friends at Target Sports. It still looks great. Though the extreme temps here in MN, it has given us years of advertising.
