Somehow the holidays gets me thinking about past. Honestly sometimes more than the future. While most are looking to the New Year, I tend to reflect on how we got here. And as any small business there is a great story. I feel mine is all about my boys and family.
A few weeks ago a couple of sales people came in to our shop, expecting to meet with Chuck. He had to run out for a few appointments. They asked who I was and what my role was. I kind of giggled a bit, and told them that we all wear many hats as we are only a 3 person operation for the most part. They also asked have we always been at our current location. My answer got me thinking. We have been at our Rogers location for 9 years in February. Before that we worked out of our home in Dayton for 17 years. Yes 17!There were many challenges to that. One of them being judgement of others. That makes me so sad to say, but it’s true.
Anyhow, we’ve been through a lot our little RPM family. Family that at a few points along the way included my brother, nieces and parents have even taken part.
The community has embraced us, we have built amazing relationships with such good people, and honestly the biggest thing is we have built this together. Two of our boys have been such a BIG BIG part. We are hoping our youngest Alex will be the future and take it far!
So as we look also to the future. We are so proud of where we are and how we got here. Friendship, love, hope, family and yes a lot of hard work and grueling stressful days. Every part of it so absolutely beautiful.
